Samsung Galaxy S8 projector: How to project video on a screen
The Samsung Galaxy S8, unveiled at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain on March 29, is a top-of-the-line smartphone that offers a whole lot of bang for the buck. One of the standout features is its ability to project video onto surfaces. Here’s how it works.

First launch the Camera app from the home screen by tapping on it. Next tap through Menu > Telephoto lens > Dual camera mode to activate it...

The phone's dual camera setup.If you’re trying to project images onto a screen, which comes in handy for presentations or events, the Galaxy S8 can make it happen. You can also use the rear camera to capture a picture and then project it onto a surface as shown in the next example.

To demonstrate this feature I took a picture of myself with the phone’s rear camera and used facial recognition software to change my appearance on the phone’s screen.

To start the process, there are a couple of steps you should follow. First turn on the projector in Settings > Display > Projector.

Then select from Screen size to fit content to the screen or resize to fill it. Next select Auto projection and choose the type of pen needed for your task, for example:

The phone will take a picture of your face through one of its rear cameras and then use facial recognition software to change your appearance on the phone's screen.

You can also take a picture of your face on the front camera and use it to change the appearance of somebody else's face on the phone's screen. All you need to do is upload a photo of yourself or someone else to the phone.
